Installation:

1. Unzip all files into your BG:EE or BG2:EE folder.
2. Double-click on the Setup-AlchemistKit application.
3. The WeiDu window will pop up. Follow the prompt and WeiDu will install the kit on your game. This can also reinstall or uninstall the kit.

If you have Spell Revisions and/or Item Revisions, the Alchemist kit should be installed before SR/IR.

Any character that can become a mage can choose the Alchemist kit on character creation. Alchemists can dual-class if they meet the requirements, but the quality of their grenades and the variety of potions they can make will not progress as quickly as a single-classed Alchemist.

Alchemists don't play like normal mages. They get even fewer spell slots than a normal mage and do not gain normal level 9 mage HLAs. Instead, they rely on their potions and grenades. Alchemist items are very powerful and can be used by the entire party, but the strongest options are also the most expensive. Alchemists can create more than 30 unique items as they gain levels.

- All Alchemists start out with 5 Grenades at level 1. To create more grenades and potions, use the innate ability "Alchemy: Concoctions," which opens up the Alchemist's Workshop, a store that sells grenades and potions.
- Aside from War Engines, you can purchase an unlimited number of items from the shop, all of which come at a discounted price that is unaffected by reputation or Charisma.
- Because the shop upgrades as the Alchemist gains levels, you will not be able to buy War Engines from previous stores. For instance, if an Alchemist reaches level 11 without creating the level 7 War Engine, he or she will not be able to create the level 7 War Engine in the future.
